Frequently asked questions

Everything people usually ask before their first class; short and to the point.

Before your first class

Yes. Yoga does not require flexibility or athletic fitness at the start; it is exactly about developing them gradually. Tell the instructor you are a beginner: they will suggest easier versions of the poses.

For a first time, “Flow and Calm” and “The Path to Inner Silence” work well; they have a calm, unhurried pace.

A mat (if you don’t have one, ask beforehand whether you can borrow one on site), water, comfortable clothes and a light blanket or cardigan for the final relaxation. More in the note on your first class.

No. You don’t have to be perfect here: no chasing complicated poses and no need to prove anything to anyone.

Ideally 5–10 minutes before the start, so you can change calmly and unroll your mat.

Yin yoga means long holds in which the body gradually relaxes and releases tension. Blocks and bolsters create comfortable support so you can relax more deeply and stay safely in the pose. This practice takes place on Wednesdays: “The Path to Inner Silence”.
